Andrew Sauerwine

I’m an entrepreneurial and consumer facing commercial publishing expert with almost 20 years experience working on the biggest mega brands in the market. My experience covers both Adult and Children’s books, Fiction and Non-Fiction ranging from Harry Potter to Fifty Shades of Grey. I’ve worked for a range of publishing houses from the biggest corporate, Penguin Random House, to the fastest growth story in the last twenty years, Bonnier Books UK. I fully understand the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats whatever the point of life cycle a business or product is in – start-up, scale-up or established. I have a huge passion for creating effective and long term routes to market for stories, whatever the platform.

Bestsellers

I’ve been lucky enough to have been directly involved in seven of the top ten bestsellers since Nielsen records began, alongside a host of other significant bestsellers and brands over the years. The insight I’ve gained working on these very different titles, from consumer buying habits to how and why the market performs the way it does is invaluable insight that I bring to every project I take on.

Retail Innovation

I’ve lead and established several market leading partnerships with key retailers many of which still exist today. One partnership, The Tickled Pink Bookclub, has delivered over £500k in donations for Asda’s partner Cancer charities as well as getting brilliant women’s fiction into many more hands.

I’ve mentored many of todays sales leaders in publishing and continue to provide advice whenever my experience can be of help. Sharing my knowledge and helping people develop is at the heart of what I do.
